“He who works with his hands is a Laborer, he who works with his hands and his head is a Craftsman, he who works with his hands, his head, and his heart is an Artist” – Sir Francis de Assisi

How I work with clients

I prefer to work in a collaborative setting with all vested members.  I listen to each person to hear their thoughts, desires, and wishes for the project they are hiring me for.  My attention to detail and quality are part of what makes a project special to you, and will provide that sense of satisfaction and pride after the project is complete.  My goal is to create a beautiful end result that will make you smile every time you see or experience it.  You will be proud to have a Zehnder Built!

Going through a remodel can feel like a daunting experience, but it doesn't have to be.  My goal is to minimize stress through proactive communication with you during all phases of the project. We'll regularly review project budget and schedule together and address potential issues early, with alternative solutions for you to consider clearly explained.

While design trends come and go, I am a strong advocate for appropriate designs and material selection.  Having a kitchen look appropriate to the original period of the house is more important than the latest trend found on the cover of a kitchen magazine.  That being said, I always like to shake things up a bit on occasion when the opportunity presents itself. One approach I like to use to liven up an accent wall or room ceiling is applying wood  instead of the standard drywall surface. See some examples on the Projects page.
